John McAfee, CEO of MGT Capital Investments, has offered $100,000 to anyone who breaks into his ‘Bitfi’ wallet, the supposedly ‘unhackable’ cryptocurrency wallet.
“For all you naysayers who claim that “nothing is unhackable” & who don’t believe that my Bitfi wallet is truly the world’s first unhackable device, a $100,000 bounty goes to anyone who can hack it. Money talks, bullshit walks,” John McAfee wrote in the tweet.
In response, users blamed the billionaire for stinginess, and some doubted Bitfi’s invulnerability even more, noting that if the device cannot be really hacked, the reward would be higher.
Other members of the crypto community have suggested that this statement is another marketing move in order to sell more wallets. Anyone if you plan to hack McAfee’s Bitfi wallet, you must first buy it for $120.
