Ukrainian crypto funs from group known as the Satoshi Nakamoto Republic have announced the plan to erect Satoshi Nakamoto monument in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.
It is assumed that the monument will be set on Shevchenko Boulevard, where a monument to Vladimir Lenin stood before it was destructed during the 2014 Ukrainian revolution. The grand opening of the monument will take place on September 29 at 13 p.m.
Augmented reality monument can be seen via app from virtual reality firm Raccoon World, when mobile devices are pointed at a plinth that will be located at the intended site of the statue. The organizers also intend to submit a petition to the Kyiv city administration for the real monument installation.
“The monument to Lenin was a symbol of last centuries that had already passed, leaving conflicting feelings in the hearts of people. Satoshi and the decentralization of society are a new era and new opportunities,” Andriy Moroz, one of the founders of Satoshi Nakamoto Republic, told.
Satoshi Nakamoto Statue in Kiev will be the first one of a series of projects “Augmented Reality Bridge” under the auspices of the Satoshi Nakamoto Republic. The group plans to acquire an island where the Satoshi Nakamoto City will be established as well as to launch a “virtual decentralized blockchain-republic.”
