The owner of astro-firm SpaceX Elon Musk has sent the ISS crew Christmas dinner. The delivery was sent via SpaceX Dragon capsule and was received by Commander Alexander Gerst.
The Dragon ship with weight of 5,600 pounds reached the ultimate goal on 8 Dec. In addition to the equipment, the six astronauts comprising expedition 57, got Christmas stuff, casserole with green beans, corn, Turkey meat, candied fruit, cranberry sauce and fruitcake.
In addition to the food the Dragon delivered 40 mice and 36,000 worms for a science experiment and more than 5,000 pounds of other station equipment.
Joel Montalbano, Deputy ISS program noted that the Christmas goods and gifts from relatives are delivered to the station every year.
