The Irish Red Cross has partnered with AID:Tech blockchain startup to use its “TraceDonate” app for improving transparency for charitable donations.

The app allows to boost engagement in social causes as donors know exactly how their contributions are being spent. AID:Tech’s partners can monitor transactions in real time, view their contribution histories, and stay informed about live charitable campaigns.

“Partnership with AID:Tech provides the organization with an opportunity to further promote transparency in the [charity] sector, and to serve as a “benchmark for the donation process,” Liam O’Dwyer, secretary general of the Irish Red Cross, told.
