Facebook social network founder Mark Zuckerberg added $ 6.2 billion to his own capital on Thursday, rising two places to No. 5 in the Bloomberg billionaires index. The publication estimates the capital of the head of Facebook at $ 65.6 billion.

It is reported that on January 30, 2019, Facebook reported on the results of 2018: the company’s net profit increased by 39%, to $ 22.1 billion, and total revenue — by 37%, to $ 55.8 billion. The company’s shares grew by 11% — the largest one-day increase in three years.

Thus, at the moment Zuckerberg is in fifth place in the Bloomberg ranking of billionaires. Due to a significant increase in Facebook shares, the 34-year-old Zuckerberg vaulted over Amancio Ortega of Spain and Mexico’s Carlos Slim, who are now ranked sixth and seventh, respectively, on the list of the world’s 500 richest people.

In turn, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos remains the planet’s wealthiest person with a $142.1 billion fortune, ahead of No. 2 Bill Gates, with $95.8 billion. Bezos overtook the Microsoft Corp. co-founder for the top spot 15 months ago.
