Tesla will unveil its Model Y crossover SUV on March 14th at the company’s design studio in Los Angeles, Elon Musk announced on his twitter account. According the tweet, the Model Y will cost about 10 percent more, be about 10 percent bigger, and will have slightly less range than the Model 3.
Tesla has only shown one teaser image of the Model Y to this point: a simple black-and-white silhouette.
According to Musk, more details on the car features will be revealed at the event. He also said that Tesla will unveil its electric pickup truck “later this year.”
Previously, Musk had joked that the Model Y would be unveiled on March 15th “because the Ides of March sounded good.”
