Forbes has released a list of top 50 companies using blockchain technology that have minimum revenues or valuations of $1 billion. 50% of the companies, called in the article “Blockchain’s Billion Dollar Babies” are working with Ethereum blockchain.
The list includes the US-operated traditional financial institutions, food companies, and tech-giants who have adopted blockchain technology for their business. The most significant are Amazon, BNP Paribas, Overstock, UBS, Metlife, Google, Coinbase, Microsoft, Foxconn, Nestle, Comcast, Intel and Samsung.
In addition to blockchain-related firms, the list includes info on which blockchain protocols was adopted by each of the company. Various Hyperledger protocols, blockchain consortium R3’s Corda protocol and the Ethereum network are prominently featured at a number of firms across various industries.
