Co-founder of San Francisco-based firm Ripple Chris Larsen and his wife Lyna Lam have donated $25 million in XRP to San Francisco State University’s (SFSU) College of Business.

The donation was made through RippleWorks, a private foundation that supports promising social entrepreneurs. It’s the largest donation in crypto that has ever been made to a university in the United States. 

This move is a part of Ripple’s social impact program “Ripple for Good” launched last September. The program os aimed for investing in projects focused on education and financial inclusion.

As a reminder, last June, Ripple announced their University Blockchain Research Initiative consisting of a $50 million donation to 17 universities globally to support education in blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

In March of last year, the company donated $29 million XRP to  U.S. public schools to equip more than 30,000 classrooms across all 50 states.
