Anonymous user has bought a virtual racing car — the “1-1-1”— in blockchain-based game F1 Delta Time for 415.9 ETH or $110,600 at the time of sale. The auction was attended by 40 users. In the final bidding round, Steve321 and Robert White offered 396 ETH ($ 101 336) and 360 ETH ($ 92 124) respectively, however an anonymous buyer offered 415 ETH at the last moment and won the auction.
The “1-1-1” will be the first unique car and the first official irreplaceable token (NFT) in the game. According to the project team, a tokenized machine will be one of a kind.
According to the game’s official website, the game will center around the collection and trading of unique Cars, Drivers and Components – all of which will exist as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) based on the ERC-721 token standard. Tokens are produced in limited quantities as determined by their level of rarity, with the rarest tokens possessing the most impressive racing attributes.
