Crypto exchange BitMarket announced its shutdown due to the loss of liquidity on July 8.
“Dear Users, We regret to inform you that due to the loss of liquidity, since 08/07/2019, Bitmarket.pl/net was forced to cease its operations. We will inform you about further steps,” the website says.
According to CoinMarketCap, in the past 24 hours, the platform volume was relatively low — $850,080. Perhaps, BitMarket users still being able to trade via API keys.
Reddit user OdoBanks remarked today that the exchange has given alarm signals a few weeks before its shutdown. Notably, prior to the closure, users have been allegedly forced to change their passwords — without any given reason — and their API keys.
Bitmarket exchange was founded in early 2014. The trading platform enjoyed considerable popularity in Poland, largely due to the support of fiat currencies and margin trading.
