YouTube have reinstated cryptocurrency education videos, that were erroneously purged from the video-sharing platform this week. The video sharing platform has since apologized for the mistake.
“With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call. When it’s brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it. We also offer uploaders the ability to appeal removals and we will re-review the content,” YouTube spokesperson said.
The spokesperson also highlighted that YouTube has not changed any policies regarding crypto-themed videos.
However some crypto youtubers have complained that their videos have not been restored.
“This is a huge wake up call, and I’m researching decentralized alternatives,” said Chris Dunn, who has more than 200,000 subscribers on YouTube.
