Darknet marketplace Monopoly Market has banned sellers from marketing fake coronavirus vaccines and other remedies against COVID-19.
“Any seller offering products as a “remedy” for the coronavirus will not only be permanently removed from this marketplace, but should be avoided like the Spanish flu. In no case use COVID-19 as a marketing tool” said Monopoly Market on the darknet.
These days, fake coronavirus vaccines, labeled “tested and confirmed” have begun appearing on the darknet markets. The fake vaccines are sold for 200 to 300 dollars in BTC or XMR. One of these “vaccines,” sold on the Agartha darknet market for $ 300, contained a mixture of nicotine, cocaine and amphetamines, according to the Independent newspaper.
Over 20 coronavirus vaccines are being developed in laboratories around the world, though experts have warned that it may take from 6 to 18 months to reach regulatory tests and standards.
