Tech billionaire Elon Musk twitted his support for rapper Kanye West after he announced he is “running for president” to replace Donald Trump. The rapper made the announcement on Twitter on the 4th of July, the USA’s Independence Day.
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION,” West wrote on Twitter on Independence Day.
“You have my full support!” Musk wrote in response to West’s announcement on Twitter on Saturday.
Kanye West has not revealed his plans on how he would go on with his campaign with elections due in less than five months.
Kanye West has a history of liking Bitcoin and the growing expectation that the crypto community needs a voice in the White House. Back in 2018, he spoke extensively about Bitcoin in an interview with American radio host “CharlamagnThaha God.” He praised the idea of the leading currency and revealed that he had begun to use Bitcoin.
