The Tesla empire is famous not only for the quality of produced cars and components, but also for the scale of its PR in the media space. Musk was able to take the presentation of the car to a whole new level — but this does not mean that Tesla is not threatened with competition.
Rimac C Two
Tesla Roadster claims to be the fastest car in the world. According to the company, it can accelerate to 100 km / h in just 1.9 seconds and has a top speed of over 402 km / h.
Rimac, Croatian company, is likely to beat Tesla’s record. The electric hypercar C_Two accelerates speed from 0 to 100 km / h in 1.85 seconds and a top speed of 415 km / h.
Rimac C Two is currently being developed and is due to enter the market in 2021.
Piëch Mark Zero
Piëch is a Swiss sports car company that combines classic sports car construction with innovative technology.
The company claims its vehicle to become “the leading luxury electric vehicle brand.”
The Piech Mark Zero electric car, which goes on sale in 2022, can accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds, charge 80% of the battery in 4 minutes 40 seconds and is proud to have a 500 km range on a single charge.
Piëch has no plans to invest in its own production and instead relies on a network of partners — automakers with a well-established supply chain.
Tesla has postponed its trailer truck program, dubbed Tesla Semi, several times. In May 2019, tests of the T-pod unmanned electric truck of the Swedish company Einride started.
The Swedish Transport Authority has allowed the T-pod to make short trips on public roads in an industrial area.
Starting from 2020, 200 units of T-Pod should be produced annually, the ultimate goal of the project being a traffic load capacity on the highway in the amount of at least 2 million pallets per year.
